About

Jennifer writes fiction, nonfiction, and poetry for children and young adults. Her published works include several nonfiction children’s books and two young adult short stories, “The Price of Words,” Lunch Ticket and “The Great Indoors,” As We Convene: An Anthology of Time and Place. Many of Jennifer’s pieces stem from the happenings in our world and the what-ifs that swirl around her head as a result. Her hope is, through her writing, to encourage thought, spark conversation, and make the world a better place.

As a freelance education writer, Jennifer creates texts, curriculum, assessments, and activities for the education market, primarily in the content areas of English/Language Arts and Science. Jennifer takes pride in combining her passion for education with her love of writing to serve the companies she trusted as a teacher and continues to admire today.

Jennifer has several years of teaching experience. She adores sparking a love for reading and writing in students and encouraging readers to think critically and empathetically. While no longer in the classroom full-time, Jennifer enjoys teaching youth enrichment writing classes in her community.
